Ursula von der Leyen has responded positively to one of the requests made by the Social Democratic parliamentary group of the European Parliament, regarding the EU accession negotiations for Albania and Northern Macedonia.
According to the Macedonian television, Telma, von der Leyen has declared that she will support the opening of the negotiations for the two Balkan countries.
The European Parliament is currently holding a discussion for the candidacy of Ursula von der Leyen.
She doesn’t have other competitors who are aiming the most important institution of the EU.
The German politician would need 374 votes to replace Jean Claude Juncker as President of the European Commission.
