The government subsidy schemes for farmers will still be limited.
The Minister of Agriculture, Bledi Cuci, said that the government will support only a limited category of products which have a high potential for exports.
“We cannot give money to any farmer in any situation. We will support only the products that have an added value and that have potential”, he said.
The government has programmed 23 million EUR of subsidies for farmers in the next year, or four times less than what is being given by Northern Macedonia to their farmers.
